چکیده

Let G be a connected d-regular graph with k vertices. We investigate the behaviour of a spanning random subgraph Gp of G n, the n-th Cartesian power ofG, which is constructed by deleting each edge independently with probability 1−p. We prove that lim n→∞ P[Gp is connected] = e−λ, if p = p(n) = 1− ( λ 1/n n k )1/d and λn → λ > 0 as n → ∞. This extends a result of L. Clark, Random subgraphs of certain graph powers, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci., 32(5):285-292, 2002.

Edge-Isoperimetric Problems for Cartesian Powers of Regular Graphs

We consider an edge-isoperimetric problem (EIP) on the cartesian powers of graphs. One of our objectives is to extend the list of graphs for whose cartesian powers the lexicographic order provides nested solutions for the EIP. We present several new classes of such graphs that include as special cases all presently known graphs with this property. Our new results are applied to derive best poss...

Regular pairs in sparse random graphs I

We consider bipartite subgraphs of sparse random graphs that are regular in the sense of Szemerédi and, among other things, show that they must satisfy a certain local pseudorandom property. This property and its consequences turn out to be useful when considering embedding problems in subgraphs of sparse random graphs.

3-star Factors in Random D-regular Graphs

The small subgraph conditioning method first appeared when Robinson and the second author showed the almost sure hamiltonicity of random d-regular graphs. Since then it has been used to study the almost sure existence of, and the asymptotic distribution of, regular spanning subgraphs of various types in random d-regular graphs and hypergraphs. In this paper, we use the method to prove the almos...

Connected bipancyclic isomorphic m-factorizations of the Cartesian product of graphs

Abstract An m-factorization of a graph is a decomposition of its edge set into edge-disjoint m-regular spanning subgraphs (or factors). In this paper, we prove the existence of an isomorphic m-factorization of the Cartesian product of graphs each of which is decomposable into Hamiltonian even cycles. Moreover, each factor in the m-factorization is m-connected, and bipancyclic for m ≥ 4 and near...
